Our approach for this family home was inspired by the life and career of its owner who is a chef working around the globe on various luxury yachts.  The main importance was to assure that all surfaces are easily cleanable. The design of this home forms part of a large residential development near the Laguna Mall in Langebaan, and is in the ideal location for a lockup and go lifestyle.  The abundance of natural light and use of natural textures enhances the feeling of a laid back, easy going lifestyle ideal for the West Coast region.

The interior planning allowed for ample storage space, and in turn provides some areas of opportunity to display personal items in a space which would otherwise be an endless row of cabinet doors.  The heart of the home is, of course, the large open kitchen where the entire family can gather to cook meals with fresh produce that comes straight out of their own specially laid out vegetable gardens.  This just shows the wonderful ways in which easy West Coast living can be enjoyed.
